The Envelope Please...
Khris of From the Heart Blog has kindly given the Vespa Blogger Friendship Award to this blog. Actually, I was notified of the awarding last Friday, but I needed a little time to work on my acceptance speech, get my hair and nails done, buy my gown, and find a suitable escort for the award dinner. (What? There's no award dinner?) This is, after all, my first blog award and I am so proud! I just want to say that it is an honor just to be nominated, and I had always hoped, but never really believed I would win, and everyone else deserved it more than me, and it's the most exciting thing that ever happened to me, and it's the culmination of my long blogging career, and I just can't believe it, and I just want to take this opportunity to thank:Khris, for bestowing the award on Nona Nita's Blog,
my mother and father and all my ancestors especially those from Italy
my children and their children
all my former English teachers,
all my friends,
the producer
my director,
the screenwriters,
my makeup artist......oops! Am I getting carried away?
All kidding aside, thanks a lot Khris. Receiving the award has been fun . It is easy to blog in friendship when there are bloggers out there as nice as you! The friendly comments of readers, who are often other bloggers, really help me blog on. Everybody needs some feedback once in a while to assure them that someone out there is interested in what they are writing. So, in the true spirit of paying it forward, I pass this award on to the following blogs that are among the many that I enjoy reading:
The Retirement Chronicles
About.com:Grandparents
theCHILDisKING
Mum's the Word (or Pa)
Ann Tucker Blog.com

I'm so sorry that life got in the way of my blogging. I am going to try not to let that happen again. Thanks for your encouragement and for reading.

I loved your speech and your dress was just beautiful. Who designed it? Your diamond necklace was breath taking - yours or borrowed? When you got your heel caught in the train of your dress I almost fainted. You were so quick to catch yourself. I couldn't see the spilled soup on your dress so you didn't need to worry about the world seeing it. Just have it cleaned before you put it in your garage sale. Again congratulations and thanks for passing the award on to me. I am so honored.
